The Orisian Empire

Orisian Empire:

Students and revolutionaries on this side of the galaxy who preserved knowledge, helped start the Orisian Empire. "Orisian", some say is a derivitive pidgin term refering to "Original" refering to origianal Triconains. Undoubtedly, at the onset of the ancient Triconian downfall, there were dozens of Triconian factions surging to power for at most a dozen years before fizzling out into the growing economic depression.

The Orisians essentially grew out of the bones of the ancient Triconian empire, and kept its taste for conquer alive as well. The prime Orisian goal is the conquering of the Milky Way Galaxy, termed "Galactic Unification for Intergalactic Readyness". Honestly, no one in the galaxy has intergalactic travel capability yet, but the Orisians would be next in line for it.

At this time, the Orisian Empire is suffering from a recent bout of over-expansion. They've taken a calmer stance in this sector to regroup, and probably take a decade to let their new governments gel into place before using their new planets to strike out in the next wave. This has been an effective tactic for the Orisians that the ancient Triconians never tried. (Slowing down, that is.)

Also going for the Orisians, is a host of new technologies: the teledrive system, similar to the Deathsmith Transmat, allows massive and near-instant transportation of troops, resources and equiment to any other teledrive-pad within range. This is not fold-technology.

The Orisians are a mottled group when you first look at them, because they certainly aren't homogenous. But they are ordered in a surprisingly novel, yet effective militocracy. The more cybernated someone is, the better rank they hold in the military, since the better oppenent they will be. The highest of leaders and warriors, is surprisingly Cyrans, Sterling Genomes, and a special choise of humans who are incredibly intelligent.

The reason the Orisians haven't taken over this whole sector by now is two fold-in their last wave, they took dozens of neutral planets with nearly no technology, and can't effectively use them as a front line, so have to develop them. Second, the next echelon of planets the Orisians have in their sights are protected by the Cyrans, who no matter what kind of bombardment the Orisians shell out, will at least withstand it, and even strike back. With a new front-line of developed planets, though, the Cyrans won't have a chanse against such monstrous man-power alone.
